Your First Office Visit

Acupuncture treatment is very different from going to the doctor. The initial visit will consist of a complete history of your health and life experience. Information relating to recent doctor visits and other forms of therapy being used is also essential. I will also perform a brief physical exam.

The initial visit will take approximately 1 1/2 hours. Subsequent treatments will last from 1/2-1 hour. It may be necessary to receive treatment once or twice a week until there are signs of improvement.

As you notice improvement for longer periods of time, we will then space treatments further apart. Thus, you will learn when you are in need of acupuncture or seasonal treatment. It is always a good idea to come in for a "tune-up" during times of stress as acupuncture is also a wonderful preventative therapy.
